About Us

Who are we

I am Stephen Saint. I have been working with exotic wood veneer as a veneer preparer now for 26 years and have worked for various companies during that time spanning the middle to top quality end of the decorative inlayed furniture market.

My last appointment was right at the top of this spectrum. I was foreman there for 16 years and was involved in design, pricing and managing the flow of work through the department of 4 preparers. I travelled Europe sourcing the best wood veneer as well as working within the department.

Working with my wife Julie, 2011 now brings a new challenge running our own business, Halo Veneering Ltd. This has brought new life to my enjoyment of being involved in high quality inlayed furniture - something that I have wanted to do from a young age.

Our aim

We believe that furniture designers and cabinet makers are being asked for more and more complex designs which they are then having trouble producing to a high enough quality.

Our aim is to produce these veneered doors and panels for you to an extremely high quality with the minimum of fuss and ready for you to turn into spectacular inlayed furniture.

Who we work with

Furniture Designers

Assuming that you already have a cabinet maker lined up for your project and decorative furniture designs for your customer, you can consult with us about the practicality of the design and we can advise on the selection of wooden veneers, inlays & faux shells etc.

We can then price the work and when the job is approved you can specify us as the veneer preparer. We will then work in conjunction with your cabinet maker. We can even help you find a cabinet maker if you would like.

Cabinet Makers

We can offer the same service as above, sourcing exotic wood veneers for you or working from your stocks of veneer to provide you with the quality workmanship that you require.
